Bishop Steve is welcoming anyone and everyone to “go the distance” for Bishopdale College, and you’re invited!
Having run 100 kilometres alongside Rev Matt Watts in May, the bishop is beckoning others to join the mission in a crowdfunding-style campaign, in which individuals can choose their own project and garner support from friends and family. Check it out here.
Projects and challenges can range from active, like running, cycling or swimming, to artistic, like painting, knitting or writing – to downright creative, like racing pigeons! “If you can count it, it counts,” says Bishop Steve.
Participants are encouraged to set their own timeline from now until the end of the year.
Steve is also inviting runners to join him in the Spectacle in December. He will be running the 50km, but people can choose their own distance. You can join the team here.
All of the money raised goes to Bishopdale College, supporting faculty to provide quality theological education, and reducing financial barriers for people who are called to study. You can also give directly to Bishopdale here.
