We are seeking someone who loves Jesus, has knowledge of early and primary childhood teaching principles, enjoys working with children and families, and is passionate about helping children grow in their faith and understanding of God's Word. Our existing Children's ministries cover pre-school, primary and intermediate aged children.
This role covers developing programs and recruiting, training and supporting volunteers as well as working with the community. The successful applicant will need to ensure safe and effective ministry practices and build strong relationships with both church and community whānau including working alongside our existing community ministries.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a mature and active Christian faith.
• Has experience with and passion for children's education
• Has experience with leading a team of volunteers
• The successful applicant would need to be part of the St Stephen's congregation
• Current First Aid certificate is preferable
