Diocesan Health & Safety Coordinator

The Anglican Diocese of Nelson is seeking to appoint a new Health and Safety Co-ordinator.  This is a half time position, reporting to the Diocesan Executive Secretary. 

This is an educative and facilitative role involving co-ordination of risk management across the parishes and diocese to achieve compliance with legal obligations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act, the SafeHere (safe ministry) programme, the Children’s Act and the Diocesan Health and Safety Management Plan.  A job description is available from the Executive Secretary at diosec@nelsonanglican.nz  The role would ideally suit someone with experience and knowledge of the NZ health and safety landscape, a commitment to ensuring safe Christian ministry and an understanding of the type of activities undertaken by parishes.
